About the writer:
Richard Manning was the co-writer of several excellent early Star Trek: The Next Generation
episodes including "Symbiosis", "The Emissary", and "Who Watches The Watchers?". He has also
written or co-written episodes of genre shows such as She-Wolf of London and Sliders.
But he is probably best known for his many scripts for hit cult science fiction series
Farscape.
Personal:
While the WriterGroupie has had the pleasure of working with Richard Manning's former writing
partner, Hans Beimler, she has not yet met "Froon" himself, as Richard Manning is affectionately
known in Farscape fandom.

Next Generation episode "The Emissary" introduced one of the WriterGroupie's all time
favorite female characters in the Star Trek universe: the glorious half Klingon, half human
K'Ehleyr.
