About the writer:
Best known as the creator of cult favorite series Buffy
the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly, Joss Whedon is a multi-talented
writer/director who has used his series to push the boundaries of television in such memorable
episodes as Buffy's
"Hush" (a silent episode) and "Once More With Feeling" (a musical episode). He manages to
combine fantasy with humor and deep emotional human content that brings his viewers inside the
heads and hearts of his characters.
Along with writing and directing multiple episodes of his various television series, Joss
has appeared in a cameo role as "Numfar" in the Angel episode "Through the Looking Glass"
and also composed the music to the musical episode of Buffy
the Vampire Slayer called "Once More With Feeling".
Personal:
The WriterGroupie has had the great pleasure of meeting Joss at various venues and events including
some of his earliest convention appearances in support of his shows as well as at a
Behind the Scenes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer
panel.
Most recently she saw him at the San
Diego Comic Con 2003. She has found him to be a charming, funny and
extremely self-effacing guy who has a genuine love for his shows, his casts and his fans.
