About the writer:
Ethlie Ann Vare started out as a rock 'n' roll journalist (and she's met EVERYBODY! Just ask her
-- she has amazing stories!) and even spent time as the Rock Gossip on E!s The Gossip Show. On the other side of
the writing scale, she has also written multiple books on female scientists and inventors and
frequently goes on lecture tours around the country on that topic.She started writing for television
on such action shows as Renegade and Silk Stalkings, but found her passion in writing
science fiction on such shows as Earth: Final Conflict and
Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda. She recently finished a season on the series Adventure Inc.,
and wrote a novel based on Andromeda.
Personal:
The WriterGroupie had the pleasure of working as a writers' assistant on
Andromeda while Ethlie was on the writing staff. Ethlie's scripts for the series are still some
of the WriterGroupie's favorite episodes ever. If you ever get the chance to sit down and talk
