About the writer:
Darin Morgan is a multi-talented writer whose work is well-known and appreciated by fans of
The X-Files and Millennium.
He wrote the story for one episode and wrote the teleplay for four other episodes of the
second and third seasons of The X-Files. He also made two memorable guest-starring
appearances on the show: first, in season two as the Flukeman in the episode "The Host" and
second, in season four as poor tailless Eddie Van Blundht in "Small Potatoes". After working
for his brother, writer/producer Glen Morgan, on The X-Files, Darin followed him to the
next Chris Carter-created series, Millennium.
Darin wrote and directed two episodes of this series. Unfortunately, despite various
opportunities, he has not been credited with writing anything since
Millennium which is a great loss to
television fans everywhere and to the WriterGroupie in particular. In 2000, however, he made
a brief appearance in an episode of his brother's short-lived series The Others.
Personal:
With apologies to all her writer-friends whose work she loves and adores...Darin Morgan is
hands down the Writer Groupie's favorite TV writer. She simply worships the paper Darin
Morgan writes on and hopes someday to have the chance to tell him so. The first work of his
that she ever saw, the Millennium
episode "Somehow, Satan Got Behind Me", was, in the WriterGroupie's opinion, one of the
greatest hours of television written since Rod Serling first put together his crew of writers
for the original Twilight Zone.
