Celebrating the Writer

The Dead Zone

About the show:

Teacher Johnny Smith had the perfect life until a car accident sent him into a coma for several years. During that time, his fiancee, Sarah, married someone else and raised Johnny's son with her new husband, sheriff Walt Bannerman.

When he awoke from the coma, an area of Johnny's brain was deemed by the doctors to be a 'dead zone'. That dead zone now allows Johnny to see glimpses of the past and the future. He struggles to get back his life, deal with his continuing love for Sarah and his newfound gifts of clairvoyance and precognition.

Personal:

The WriterGroupie has had the pleasure of working with/knowing several of the writers on this wonderful adaptation/expansion of the classic Stephen King story, but even she was blown away by how terrific this show has turned out to be.
