Alice Borchardt has created a new mythology for werewolves tracing back to the Roman Empire.
Book One in the series, The Silver Wolf, tells the story of one such femme-wolf, Regeane.
Book Two, Night of the Wolf, is a prequel about her companion, Maeniel. The WriterGroupie
has not yet read the third book in the series, The Wolf King, though she is looking forward
to reading it.
Personal:
The WriterGroupie thinks that Alice Borchardt may actually be a better
writer than her well-known sister, Anne Rice. The setting feels well-researched, the mythos
-- thought out, and the writing is clean and compelling. The WriterGroupie also particularly
loves all three books' cover artwork.
